1.1 With the exception of the cases mentioned in point 1.3, the Lessee are obliged to perform checkout of the equipment from the Lessors premises in the days before the start of shooting between the hours 08:00 (8am) and 16:00 (4pm), or by special appointment. If these requirements are not met we charge NOK 1200, - for emergency support after hours. We do not take any responsibilities for Lessees issues with equipment during checkout after hours.
1.2 The Lessee is obliged to carry equipment testing and demonstrate an understanding of the set-up before it’s removed from the Lessors premises. Lessee have to check that rented equipment reflects the quote / order. Lessees must sign Lessors checkout form before the equipment is removed from the Lessors premises. If the Lessee discovers faults / deficiencies on rented equipment during checkout / testing, the Lessor shall be notified before the equipment is removed from the premises. Otherwise, the equipment is considered to be placed at the Lessees disposal in accordance with the normal quality standards for rental.
1.3 Lessee understands that equipment can arrive late from other Lessees or when sub-leasing. Lessor shall as far as possible inform the Lessee about delays. In such cases the Lessor will not always be able to make customary control of equipment for damage and the like, before it’s at the Lessees disposal. The Lessee cannot annul its lease obligations based on these terms.
1.4 The Lessor does not accept any responsibility for the fulfillment of the Lessees order unless the Lessor controls the equipment. If the Lessor discovers errors or defects in the equipment, which will lead to delay or non-delivery, the Lessee shall be notified. The Lessor is obliged, to the extent possible, to limit the damage and try alternative rental solutions for Lessee. Beyond this, the Lessor has no financial responsibility regarding the Lessee.
1.5 When sub-renting gear from other companies domestically and internationally, Lessor always try its utmost to handle all transport logistics within time for checkout and rental contract with sub-lessor. In that regard, Lessor can not guarantee that transport and customs agent will keep planned transport schedule.

2.1 The check-in shall happen at Lessors premises latest 09:00 (9am) on the agreed check-in date or the day after last shooting day. The Lessee must report all damages, errors or defects on the equipment.
2.2 High-value equipment such as camera and lenses have to be stored in safe cabinet after hours to not expose this type of equipment in checkout area.

3.1 Lessor provides insurance of rented equipment against damage and loss and business interruption insurance for the Lessee within Europe. Lessee will be charged an insurance fee equivalent to five percent, 5 %, of total rental amount, with a maximum of NOK 7.500, -.
3.2 Lessors insurance does not cover damage and losses due to: 1) careless or improper treatment 2) user error 3) use of facilities 4) wear and tear damage 5) underwater/in water/splashbag shoot if not specified and booked 6) drone shoot if not specified and booked 6) if equipment is not kept safe, “safe” means dry, out of reach, steady and the like 7) storing equipment in vehicles without activated burglar alarm 8) if the equipment is not removed from the car at night, the car has to be locked in a one-car garage with activated alarm 9) improper overnight storage due to specific building security
3.3 Insurance to cover the Lessees use of the equipment outside Europe must be specially made and provided by the Lessor on the Lessees expense.
3.4 Lessor excess using insurance will be charged the Tenant. Excess using insurance is NOK 10.000, - at each occurrence. For drone cases a 10 % extra of total rental amount will be added. Excess using interruption insurance is NOK 10.000, - at each occurrence.
3.5 Expenses that otherwise accrue for damage caused to the equipment of the Lessee and not covered by the Lessors insurance, will be charged the Lessee directly. If equipment is lost or damaged of such a nature that the equipment must be condemned, the Lessee must replace equipment at replacement cost.
3.6 Damage report shall be submitted simultaneously with the check-in of the equipment. If this is practically impossible to conduct, a temporarily report has to be delivered and the final report must be forwarded within five days after the equipment was delivered. If this is not adhered, a fee will be imposed the Lessee by 1% of the total rental fee per day beyond the above.
3.7 Cancellation less than 24 hours before production, due to causes other than the Lessees client has canceled the assignment, will be charged with 50 %.
3.8 Unexpected extension of rental due to weather for example, equals an addition of half day rental.
3.9 Emergency service after hours or on-set requires a fee of NOK 1200, -.

4.1 Except as set forth in subsection. 1.4, the Lessor has no responsibility for any direct or indirect expenses / losses Lessee incurred through these conditions.
4.2 In the rental period the Lessor is obligated to carry out repairs to keep equipment free of wear and tear. Lessor shall arrange and pay the transport of equipment to be repaired to / from the Lessors premises.
4.3 We do not charge for checkout day. 1-week rental equals 4 payment days. 2-weeks rental or more lowers the payment days to 3 per week. Transportation days are primarily paying days.

5.1 Lessees must keep the equipment in good condition and will replace the damage or loss of equipment, regardless of the cause of the damage. Equipment and cases have to be cleaned upon return to Lessor. Lessee will directly be charged any expenses the Lessor receives as a result of inadequate cleaning.
5.2 Lessees are responsible for the equipment to be used by qualified professionals. The Lessor reserves the right to approve the operator of the equipment. The equipment must not be used in abnormal or hazardous assignments.
5.3 The Lessee cannot dispose legal actions of equipment, including pledge, patent or otherwise cause it claims. Lessees must not remove or obscure stickers / nameplates / serial number on the equipment showing the Lessors title to the equipment.
5.4 When renting a car it’s the Lessees obligation to ensure that the driver has a valid certificate and that the car is not overweight according to the legislation.
5.5 All bookings are preliminary before Lessor has received a written confirmation. Lessor has the right to rent equipment that has not yet been confirmed. Lessee need to confirm quote with sufficient time before a possible checkout.
5.6 Being a foreign registered company, min. 50 % of total rental amount need to be paid up-front. Being a private person, ID need to be sent Lessor when booking.
5.7 To prevent damage to the optical filters and the sensor, a protective cap must be on the lens mount receptacle while no lens is attached. All cables have to be unplugged from the camera when it is transported or stored inside a camera case. Do not store the camera in places where it is subject to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, high humidity, severe vibration, or near strong magnetic fields. Also, please do not operate camera within strong magnetic fields. Radiation affects everything, it can ruin your sensor and personal health.
5.8 Do not point the sensor directly towards a laser or opposite. It will damage the sensor long-term.
5.9 When moving the camera from a cool to a warm location or when the camera is used in a damp environment, condensation may form inside the lens compartment, on the sensor cover glass, between sensor and its cover glass, and on internal or external electrical connections. When condensation occurs it is very important to use a slow and long process to dry lenses and sensors again. If not, condensation can occur within the camera or lenses and the equipment will need service attention.
5.10 When travelling by plane, regulations by IATA and local flight companies need to be followed. Especially concerning travelling with lithium batteries, please relate to the latest IATA acceptations regarding dangerous goods. We recommend to travel with camera body and lenses in hand-luggage to the extent its possible.
5.11 When travelling across a border the Lessee is responsible to declare equipment for temporary export at customs (and import when returning, same procedure for arrival country). Lessee need to obtain the latest regulations for the specific arrival country to proceed with the correct approach. The preferred customs paper is ATA-Carnet, some countries demand this as the only declaration paper. The transporter is solely responsible for the export and import.
5.12 Macro lenses are not to be used with motors. Vintage lenses are not to be used with clip-on matte boxes. This could potentially disturb the mechanical parts of the optics.
5.13 Working in Nordic conditions forces Lessee for more precise routines when it comes to temperature changes. All glass and sensors needs to acclimate slow and long before going into another temperature environment or mode (recording for instance).
5.14. When flying Lessee is obliged to follow the airlines and IATAs lates restrictions. This is especially regarding shipment of dangerous goods such as lithium batteries. Lenses and camera are to be transported in hand-luggage to protect gear from unnecessary vibrations and damages.

6.1 For equipment that is returned after 09:00 (9am) on agreed return delivery date, Lessee will be charged a minimum of half day rate.
6.2 If equipment is returned later than agreed, daily rental rate will be charged the Lessee up until the actual return, according to the Lessors current prices for similar equipment, with an additional 10 percent, 10 %, of daily rental. If equipment is damaged or lost, daily rental rate can be charged the Lessee with mentioned addition until repaired or until new equipment is available for rent, if not covered by insurance. These rules do not limit the Lessors right to demand compensation from the Lessee from after the rental conditions other terms.

7.1 The Lessee will cover lab, film, transportation, staff, server storage, consumables, sub-rental, replacement and other costs associated with the use of the equipment.

Productions that is being delayed or need to shut down due to Covid 19 or other pandemics are also covered by our Rental Conditions, unless otherwise is agreed upon in writing.
If a production is postponed, Storyline Studios do not guarantee the availability of the equipment that were booked for the initial period. When the rental period is changed the economic conditions may also change for a new shooting period. This means that the equipment quote for the initial period is no longer valid.
For the booking to be valid the adjusted dates and the costs of the equipment has to be confirmed by Storyline Studios before the new shooting period starts.
The production is responsible to, as early as possible, to get in contact with Storyline Studios if cancellation or postponements due to Covid 19 are being considered.

1.1 All agreements must be made in writing. Storyline Studios CPH A/S accepts verbal agreements but will disclaim any responsibility in case a misunderstanding in the deliveries and/or Customer expectations will occur.
1.2 The following “Terms & Conditions” shall apply to all written agreements concerning Storyline Studios CPH A/S' rental equipment, unless otherwise specifically agreed in writing.
1.3 The following Conditions shall replace all previously written agreements regarding Storyline Studios CPH A/S' rental equipment.
1.4 All quotes received by Storyline Studios CPH A/S is valid 14 (fourteen) days as per the time the quotation/estimate has been provided and will automatically expire after that time.

2.1 The extent and price of Storyline Studios CPH A/S' rental equipment will appear from the quotation made by Storyline Studios CPH A/S or, if a quotation has not been made, from the issued order confirmation.
2.2 If neither quotation nor order confirmation has been issued, the work is done as per account rendered.
2.3 Unless otherwise agreed, the price does not include tapes, filters, duct tape or any other consumables to be used in connection with the equipment concerned.
2.4 Storyline Studios CPH A/S' prices shall be added VAT at the rate applicable at any time as well as any other tax and/or duty which are or may be imposed on Storyline Studios CPH A/S in connection with the performance of the work.

Storyline Studios CPH A/S do not take any responsibility for Lessee's issues with equipment during checkout after hours.
3.2 The Lessee is obliged to carry equipment testing and demonstrate an understanding of the set-up before it’s removed from the Lessors premises. Lessee has to check that rented equipment reflects the quote / order confirmation. Lessees must sign Lessors checkout form before the equipment is removed from the Lessors premises. If the Lessee discovers faults / deficiencies on rented equipment during checkout / testing, the Lessor shall be notified before the equipment is removed from the premises. Otherwise, the equipment, is considered to be placed at the Lessees disposal in accordance with the normal quality standards for rental.
3.3 Lessee understands that equipment can arrive late from other Lessees or when subleasing. Lessor shall as far as possible inform the Lessee about delays. In such cases the Lessor will not always be able to make customary control of equipment for damage and the like, before it’s at the Lessee's disposal. The Lessee cannot cancel its lease obligations based on these terms.
3.4 The Lessor does not accept any responsibility for the fulfillment of the Lessee's order unless the Lessor controls the equipment. If the Lessor discovers errors or defects in the equipment, which will lead to delay or non-delivery, the Lessee shall be notified. The Lessor is obliged, to the extent possible, to limit the damage and try alternative rental solutions for Lessee. Beyond this, the Lessor has no financial responsibility regarding the Lessee.
3.5 When sub-renting gear from other companies domestically and internationally, Lessor always tries its utmost to handle all transport logistics within time for checkout and rental contract with sub-lessor. In that regard, the Lessor can’t guarantee that the transport and customs agent will keep the planned transport schedule.

4.1 Unless otherwise agreed in writing all equipment shall be picked up and returned by the customer at Storyline Studios CPH A/S' address Trelleborggade 9, 2150 Nordhavn, Denmark.
4.2 The equipment must, unless otherwise agreed, be picked up and returned within Storyline Studios CPH A/S' regular opening hours, which are weekdays between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00p.m. However, it is possible by request and agreement up front, to arrange pick-up and drop-off outside normal opening hours, in Storyline Studios CPH A/S' secured system.
4.3 The equipment can be picked up from 7.30 a.m. on the first day of the agreed rental period.
4.4 When picking up equipment, photo identification must be presented on request. New customers must also provide an updated company transcript from the relevant company and/or legal authorities.
4.5 If it is confirmed that the rental equipment shall be deliver to the customer, the equipment is delivered (air, sea or road) by the customer's full expense and risk from handling over the equipment to the customer at the Storyline Studios CPH A/S address at Trelleborggade 9, DK- 2150 Nordhavnen.
4.6 Customer always have to arrange pick up based upon the order confirmation and agreed pick up time. If the customer decide to arrange the transportation by him/her self, full cost and risk is by the customer, from handling over the equipment, which incl. any instruction to the driver etc. in terms of stamps in the carnet and other transport doc. required by the customs and/or transportation.
4.7 When shipping equipment to certain countries, carnet is required. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to prepare such carnet, unless otherwise agreed in writing. The customer can ask Storyline Studios CPH A/S to support fulfilling of the carnet and Storyline Studios CPH A/S will support in any way we can, but it’s by the customers full risk and responsibility that the carnet is correctly managed.

5.1 The rental period runs from 07.30 a.m. on the first day of the agreed rental period, regardless which time of the day the equipment is picked up by the customer. If it is agreed that Storyline Studios CPH A/S will deliver the equipment to the customer, the rental period will commence upon the date of the equipment being delivered by Storyline Studios CPH A/S.
5.2 Prior to the end of the rental period, the customer may at any time during the rental period request Storyline Studios CPH A/S to extend the rental period. Storyline Studios CPH A/S will endeavor to fulfill such requests for extensions, but Storyline Studios CPH A/S has no obligation to do so.

6.1 Unless otherwise agreed, the entire quotation must be paid in advance for the entire rental period.
6.2 Payment terms are always net 14 days from invoice date, unless otherwise agreed.
6.3 Any invoice must be paid for the entire rental period. However, if the equipment is returned before the end of the rental period, Storyline Studios CPH A/S will endeavor to rent the equipment to another party. To the extent Storyline Studios CPH A/S is able to re-let the equipment, the customer will only be required to pay rent until the equipment is re-let.
6.4 In case of delayed return of the equipment, any additional payment must be paid until the equipment is returned at Storyline Studios CPH A/S´ address, and Storyline Studios CPH A/S is entitled to charge an additional delay delivery fee and make claims against the customer corresponding to the incurred costs and losses suffered by Storyline Studios CPH A/S.
6.5 In addition to the rental price, Storyline Studios CPH A/S is entitled to charge a deposit equal to 30 % of the value of the equipment. However, the minimum deposit is DKK 10,000 for rental in Denmark and the rest of the EU, and the minimum deposit is DKK 75,000 for rental in the rest of the world.
6.6 In case of late payment, interest fee is charged by 1.5% per month as from any past due payment.

7.1 Storyline Studios CPH A/S is not responsible for ensuring that the work can be carried out (service, quality and cost wise) within the estimate in cases where work is managed when Storyline Studios CPH A/S isn’t present on the set and able to supervise. Storyline Studios CPH A/S can only be in charge of the on-set support/assistance, at the time there is a written agreement/accepted quotation in terms of the services/support given by Storyline Studios CPH A/S.
7.2 Unless otherwise agreed, cost in terms of transportation, diet and overnight staying will be invoiced to the customer.
7.3 The daily price rate is based upon max. 8 working hours, any time above 8 working hours will be charged separately.

8.1 For short-term rentals (rental period between 24 and 72 hours), the following cancellation conditions apply:
a) Unless otherwise stated in the order confirmation, the customer shall not pay for the rental of the equipment if cancelled more than 72 hours before the start of the rental period.
b) If cancelled between 72 and 24 hours before the start of the rental period, 50% of the quotation/rental price must be paid.
c) If cancelled less than 24 hours before the start of the rental period, full rental price must be paid.
8.2 For any rental period above 72 hours the following cancellation conditions apply:
a) If cancelled more than 48 hours before the beginning of the rental period, 50% of the rental price must be paid.
b) If cancelled less than 48 hours before the start of the rental period, full cost must be paid for the first 72 hours of the rental period and afterwards 50 % of the rental price for the remaining agreed rental period.
8.3 Regardless of when cancellation takes place, the customer shall be liable for any costs and losses incurred by Storyline Studios CPH A/S as a consequence of the cancelled order.

9.1 Storyline Studios CPH A/S will at any time loyally advise the customer, which equipment is the most appropriate to be used in different customer/project requirements. However, it is always the responsibility of the customer, that the rental equipment is suitable for the said task and that the equipment is compatible with the customer's other equipment.
9.2 When the rental equipment is picked up by the customer, Storyline Studios CPH A/S, if desired, will give a brief instruction in the use of the equipment.
9.3 Storyline Studios CPH A/S is having a 24 hours telephone support on +45 70 205 305, available on normal working days.

10.1 The customer is fully responsible for the proper use of the equipment.
10.2 The equipment may only be operated by persons employed by the customer and who have experience in operating similar equipment. Storyline Studios CPH A/S may in advance at any time require information/documentation of the persons intended to operate the equipment on behalf of the customer.
10.3 Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the equipment may only be used in Denmark. At Storyline Studios CPH A/S' request, the customer must state within max. 4 hours responds time, where the equipment is located and give Storyline Studios CPH A/S access to inspect the equipment.
10.4 The equipment should not be used under extreme circumstances and must not be subject to overload, extreme water impact, salt impact, cold impact, heat impact etc. If the customer have a doubt in terms of “extreme circumstances”, the customer should always contact Storyline Studios CPH A/S in writing and get a written confirmation of question raised.
10.5 The customer may not disassemble, repair, adjust, service or otherwise modify the equipment. The customer cannot claim any costs of servicing, repairing etc. of the equipment reimbursed by Storyline Studios CPH A/S, without prior written agreement with Storyline Studios CPH A/S.

11.1 The equipment has been inspected by Storyline Studios CPH A/S and verified to be functioning properly before it is delivered to the customer.
11.2 Upon receipt of the equipment, the customer must thoroughly examine the equipment and immediately inform Storyline Studios CPH A/S in writing of any visible defects. If the equipment is picked up outside Storyline Studios CPH A/S´ opening hours, the customer can report any defects in writing in Storyline Studios CPH A/S secure system. When renting equipment for underwater use, it is especially important that the customer before use checks that the equipment is water tight, any question and/or doubt will need to be raised to Storyline Studios CPH A/S in writing.
11.3 If the customer does not inform Storyline Studios CPH A/S of any visible defects immediately upon receipt of the equipment (= within same calendar day), the equipment is considered approved by the customer.
11.4 Prior to using the equipment for any media production (commercial, TV and/or Film), the customer should test the equipment and any detected errors, such as for instance pixel errors, sensor errors and the like. must be reported to Storyline Studios CPH A/S immediately (see § 9.3).
11.5 If any defects are found in the equipment, Storyline Studios CPH A/S undertakes, at its discretion, to either replace the equipment with similar equipment (not necessarily the same type and year) or to credit the customer the rent for the period that the equipment has been defective.
11.6 The equipment must be returned to Storyline Studios CPH A/S clean and in the same condition as it was delivered (except for ordinary wear and tear).
11.7 Storyline Studios CPH A/S identification marks shouldn’t at any time be removed from the equipment.
11.8 In case the equipment is not returned in the condition is was received, the customer shall pay the by Storyline Studios CPH A/S requested cleaning of the equipment (the hourly rate anytime given by MAAN Rental, currently a minimum hourly rate of DKK 495) and/or any repair and/or servicing of the equipment performed either by Storyline Studios CPH A/S or third parties.
11.9 The customer must pay full rent for the equipment until the equipment has been brought to the same condition as at the start of the rental period, and a total return of all the rented equipment has been made, incl. cables, manuals, packaging, etc. or if replacement is necessary, until new equipment has been purchased and delivered.
11.10 In case the customer intentionally or by grossly negligent actions damages the equipment or attempts to make unauthorized repairs or alterations to the equipment, Storyline Studios CPH A/S may, in addition to any loss, charge the customer a penalty of DKK 15,000.

12.1 The customer bears the risk of any damage or loss of the equipment from the receipt of the equipment and until the equipment is returned to Storyline Studios CPH A/S. The risk also includes the risk of accidental damage or damage to the equipment and theft of the equipment.
12.2 If the equipment is damaged or lost, the customer must immediately inform Storyline Studios CPH A/S accordingly (= at the latest same calendar day). Damaged equipment must be returned to Storyline Studios CPH A/S for an assessment of whether the equipment shall be repaired or replaced. In case of theft, the customer must complete and file a police report.
12.3 If the equipment is damaged or lost, the customer must pay full rent until the equipment is repaired or new equipment is purchased at the customer's expense.
12.4 Do not point the camera sensor directly towards a laser or opposite. It will damage the sensor long-term.
12.5 Damage report shall be submitted simultaneously with the check-in of the equipment. If this is practically impossible to conduct, a temporary report has to be delivered and the final report must be forwarded within five days after the equipment was delivered. If this is not adhered to, a fee will be imposed on the Lessee by 10% of the total rental fee per day beyond the above.

13.1 In the event of theft of or damage to equipment, Storyline Studios CPH A/S will try to obtain replacement equipment if the customer so wishes. If replacement equipment is provided, the customer, unless otherwise agreed in writing, must pay rent for both the initially leased equipment and the replacement equipment.

14.1 Storyline Studios CPH A/S cannot be held responsible for any loss suffered as a consequence of delayed delivery of the said equipment, incorrect installation and set-up of the equipment, defective equipment, including any errors in sensors or the like.
14.2 Storyline Studios CPH A/S is not responsible for damage to real estate or movable property caused by the rental equipment, including damage to camera film, data or other equipment.
14.3 Storyline Studios CPH A/S is only responsible for personal injury, if such personal injury is caused by errors or omissions by Storyline Studios CPH A/S or by others for whom Storyline Studios CPH A/S is responsible.
14.4 Storyline Studios CPH A/S is not responsible for loss of data, operating loss, loss of profits, lost earnings or other indirect loss or consequential damage, including loss caused by increased production costs etc.
14.5 The customer's claim for damages shall in any event not exceed an amount equal to the agreed price of Storyline Studios CPH A/S' services.

15.1 Unless otherwise agreed, Storyline Studios CPH A/S will take out insurance covering damage to the equipment and theft of the equipment. The insurance terms will be provided to the customer upon request.
15.2 In addition to the rental price the customer is charged for the insurance coverage as follows:
a) When renting for use in Denmark: 5% of the total rental cost.
b) When renting for use in Europe (outside Denmark): 8% of the rental price.
c) When renting for use of the equipment outside Europe, the price of insurance is specifically agreed in each case based on an offer from an insurance company.
15.3 The insurance excess shall be paid by the customer. The insurance excess is typically 10% of the value of the equipment, but at least DKK 15,000. Under special circumstances, including theft from an unattended car or theft from an unlocked area, the excess may amount to up to DKK 75,000. Usage of any rental equipment by ocean and/or aviation photography isn’t covered by the insurance.
15.4 Notwithstanding the fact that the customer has paid for the insurance of the equipment, the customer must pay compensation to Storyline Studios CPH A/S to the extent that the insurance company refuses to compensate for any damage incurred.

16.1 The following circumstances shall result in exemption from liability if they prevent the fulfillment of the agreement or makes the fulfillment unreasonably burdensome: Any circumstance of which Storyline Studios CPH A/S has no control, such as fire, war, failure to supply raw materials, governmental provisions, and lack of means of transport. If Storyline Studios CPH A/S wishes to invoke this provision, Storyline Studios CPH A/S shall without undue delay inform the customer hereof.
16.2 As long as Storyline Studios CPH A/S as a result of force majeure is prevented to fulfill its obligations under the agreement, the customer is entitled to withhold his corresponding payment, but apart from that has no claims against Storyline Studios CPH A/S.
16.3 Storyline Studios CPH A/S is entitled to cancel the agreement by notice in writing to the customer, when the performance of the agreement has been impossible for more than one month because of any of the circumstances mentioned above.

17.1 Disputes between Storyline Studios CPH A/S and the customer shall be settled by Danish law.
17.2 At first any dispute shall be sought to be solved by negotiation with participation of Storyline Studios CPH A/S and the customer and, where appropriate, also their lawyers.
17.3 If it is not possible to solve the dispute through negotiation, the dispute shall be settled at the Copenhagen City court, irrespective of the nature and size of the case.

Productions that is being delayed or need to shut down due to Covid 19 or other pandemics are also covered by our Rental Conditions, unless otherwise is agreed upon in writing.
If a production is postponed, Storyline Studios do not guarantee the availability of the equipment that were booked for the initial period. When the rental period is changed the economic conditions may also change for a new shooting period. This means that the equipment quote for the initial period is no longer valid.
For the booking to be valid the adjusted dates and the costs of the equipment has to be confirmed by Storyline Studios before the new shooting period starts.
The production is responsible to, as early as possible, to get in contact with Storyline Studios if cancellation or postponements due to Covid 19 or other pandemics are being considered.

1.1 Any agreement must be made in writing. A booking is binding once an order has been confirmed in writing by the customer. Storyline Studios GOT AB is also accepting verbal bookings, but in these cases disclaims any responsibilities in case there might occur a misunderstanding in the deliveries or customer expectations.
1.2 The following terms & conditions shall apply to all written agreements concerning STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB’s rental equipment, unless otherwise agreed specifically in writing.
1.3 The following Conditions shall replace all previously written agreements regarding STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB’s rental equipment.
1.4 Any quote received by STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB is valid 30 working days as per the quotation/estimate has been provided and will automatically expire after that time, unless other quotation period is agreed upon in writing.

2.1 The extent and price of STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB’s rental equipment appear from the quotation made by STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB or, if a quotation has not been made, from the issued order confirmation.
2.2 If neither quotation nor order confirmation has been issued, the work is charged as per account rendered based on STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB’s general price list.
2.3 Unless otherwise agreed, the price does not include tapes, filters, duct tape and any other consumables to be used in connection with the concerned equipment.
2.4 To STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB’s prices shall be added VAT at the rate applicable at any time as well as any other taxes and duties which are or may be imposed on STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB in connection with the performance of the work.

3.1 Unless otherwise agreed in writing all equipment shall be picked up and returned by the customer at STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB’s address Polstjärnegatan 14, 41752 Göteborg, Sweden.
3.2 The equipment must, unless otherwise agreed, be picked up and returned within STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB’s regular opening hours, which are weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. However, it is possible by request and agreement in writing, to arrange pick-up and drop-off outside normal opening hours.
3.3 The equipment can be picked up from 8.00 a.m. on the first day of the agreed rental period.
3.4 When picking up equipment, photo identification must be presented on request. New customers must also provide a valid company registration certificate issued by legal authorities.
3.5 If it is confirmed that the rental equipment shall be delivered to the customer, the equipment is delivered (by air, sea or road) at the customer's full expense and risk from the moment the equipment leaves the STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB premises at Polstjärnegatan 14, 41752 Göteborg, Sweden.
3.6 When shipping equipment to certain countries, an ATA-carnet is required. It is the responsibility of the customer to prepare such carnet, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4.1 The rental period runs from 08.00 a.m. on the first day of the agreed rental period, regardless which time of the day the equipment is picked up by the customer. If it is agreed that STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB will deliver the equipment to the customer, the rental period will commence upon the date and time the equipment leaves the premises of STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB.
4.2 Prior to the end of the rental period, the customer may at any time during the rental period request STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB to extend the rental period. STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB will endeavor to fulfill such requests for extensions, but STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB has no obligation to do so.

5.1 Unless otherwise agreed, the entire quotation must be paid in advance for the entire rental period.
5.2 Payment terms are always net 30 days from invoice date, unless otherwise agreed.
5.3 Any invoice must be paid for the entire agreed rental period. However, if the equipment is returned before the end of the agreed rental period, STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB will endeavor to rent the equipment out to another party. To the extent STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB is able to re-let the equipment, the customer will only be required to pay rent until the equipment is re-let.
5.4 In case of delayed return of the equipment, any additional payment must be paid until the equipment is returned at STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB’s address, and STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB is entitled to charge an additional delay delivery fee and make claims against the customer corresponding to the incurred costs and losses suffered by STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB.
5.5 In addition to the rental price, STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB is entitled to charge a deposit equal to 30 % of the value of the equipment. However, the minimum deposit is SEK 10 000 for rental in Sweden and the rest of the EU, and the minimum deposit is SEK 75 000 for rental in the rest of the world.
5.6 In case of late payment, interest fee is charged by 1.5% per month as from any past due payment.

6.1 STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB is not responsible for ensuring that the work can be carried out (service, quality and costwise) within the estimate, in cases where work is managed when STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB isn’t present on the set and able to supervise. STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB can only be in charge of the on-set support/assistance in cases where there is a written agreement/accepted quotation in terms of the services/support given by STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB.
6.2 Unless otherwise agreed, cost relating to transportation, food and accomodation will be invoiced to the customer
6.3 The daily price rate is based upon max. 8 working hours, any time above 8 working hours will be charged additionally.

7.1 For short-term rentals (rental period between 24 and 72 hours), the following cancellation conditions apply:
a) Unless otherwise stated in the order confirmation, the customer shall not pay for the rental of the equipment if cancelled more than 72 hours before the start of the rental period.
b) If cancelled between 72 and 24 hours before the start of the rental period, 50% of the quotation/rental price must be paid.
c) If cancelled less than 24 hours before the start of the rental period, full rental price must be paid.
7.2 For long-term rentals (rental period above 72 hours), the following cancellation conditions apply:
a) If cancelled more than 48 hours before the beginning of the rental period, 50% of the rental price must be paid.
b) If cancelled less than 48 hours before the start of the rental period, full cost must be paid for the first 72 hours of the rental period and afterwards 50 % of the rental price for the remaining agreed rental period.
7.3 Regardless of when cancellation takes place, the customer shall be liable for any costs and losses incurred by STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB as a consequence of the cancelled order.

8.1 STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB will at any time loyally advise the customer, which equipment is the most appropriate to be used in different customer/project requirements. However, it is always the responsibility of the customer, that the rental equipment is suitable for the said task and that the equipment is compatible with the customer's other equipment.
8.2 When the rental equipment is picked up by the customer, STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB - if requested - will give a brief instruction in the use of the equipment.
8.3 STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB is having a 24/7 phone support on +46 31 802190, available all days and all hours, and will be charged when used as per current price and conditions.

9.1 The customer is fully responsible for the proper use and care of the equipment during the rental period.
9.2 The equipment may only be operated by persons employed by the customer and who have experience in operating similar equipment. STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB may in advance at any time require information/documentation of the persons intended to operate the equipment on behalf of the customer.
9.3 Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the equipment may only be used in Sweden. At STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB’s request, the customer must state within 4 hours from the request, where the equipment is located and give STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB access to inspect the equipment.
9.4 The equipment should not be used under extreme circumstances and must not be subject to overload, extreme water impact, salt impact, cold impact, heat impact, etc. If the customer is in doubt in terms of the definition of “extreme circumstances”, the customer should always contact STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB in writing and get a written respons before proceeding to expose the equipment to such circumstance.
9.5 The customer may not disassemble, repair, adjust, service or otherwise modify the equipment. The customer cannot claim any costs of servicing, repairs, etc, of the equipment to be reimbursed by STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB without prior written agreement with STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB.

10.1 The equipment has been inspected by STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB and verified to be functioning properly before it is delivered to the customer.
10.2 Upon receipt of the equipment, the customer must thoroughly examine the equipment and immediately inform STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB in writing of any visible defects. If the equipment is picked up outside STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB’s opening hours, the customer can report any defects in writing to STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB. When renting equipment for underwater use, it is especially important that the customer prior to use, checks and makes sure that the equipment is water tight. Any question and/or doubt will need to be raised to STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB in writing.
10.3 If the customer does not inform STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB of any visible defects immediately upon receipt of the equipment (= within same calendar day), the equipment is considered approved by the customer.
10.4 Prior to using the equipment for any media production (commercial, TV and/or Film), the customer should test the equipment. Any errors, such as for instance pixel errors, sensor errors and the like, must be reported to STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB immediately (see § 10.3).
10.5 If any defects are found in the equipment, STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB undertakes, at its discretion, to either replace the equipment with similar equipment (not necessarily the same type and model year) or to credit the customer the rent for the period that the equipment has been defective.
10.6 The equipment must be returned to STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB, properly packed, clean and in the same condition as it was delivered (except for ordinary wear and tear).
10.7 STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB’s identification marks can not at any time be removed from the equipment.
10.8 In case the equipment is not returned in the condition it was received, the customer will be charged by STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB for the labour (hourly rate anytime given by STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB, currently a minimum hourly rate of SEK 750) to clean, repair or service the equipment, either performed by STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB or third parties.
10.9 The customer must pay full rent for the equipment until the equipment has been brought to the same condition as at the start of the rental period, and a total return of all the rented equipment has been made, incl. cables, manuals, packaging, etc, or if replacement is necessary, until new equipment has been purchased and delivered.
10.10 In case the customer intentionally or by grossly negligent actions damages the equipment or attempts to make unauthorized repairs or alterations to the equipment, STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB may, in addition to any loss, charge the customer a penalty of SEK 20 000.

11.1 The customer is responsible for any damage or loss of the equipment from the receipt of the equipment and until the equipment is fully returned to STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB. The customer is also responsible for any accidental damage or damage to the equipment and theft of the equipment during the rental period.
11.2 If the equipment is damaged or lost, the customer must immediately inform STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB accordingly (= at the latest same calendar day). Damaged equipment must be returned to STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB for an assessment of whether the equipment shall be repaired or replaced. In case of theft, the customer must issue and file a full police report.
11.3 If the equipment is damaged or lost, the customer must pay full rent until the equipment is repaired or new equipment is purchased at the customer's expense.

12.1 In the event of theft of or damage to equipment, STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB will try to obtain replacement equipment if the customer so wishes. If replacement equipment is provided, the customer, unless otherwise agreed in writing, must pay rent for both the initially leased equipment and the replacement equipment.

13.1 STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB can not be held responsible for any loss suffered as a consequence of delayed delivery of the said equipment, incorrect installation and set-up of the equipment, defective equipment, including any errors in sensors or the like.
13.2 STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB is not responsible for damage to real estate or movable property caused by the rental equipment, including damage to camera film, data or other equipment.
13.3 STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB is only responsible for personal injury, if such personal injury is caused by errors or omissions by STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB or by others for whom STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB is responsible.
13.4 STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB is not responsible for loss of data, operating loss, loss of profits, lost earnings or other indirect loss or consequential damage, including loss caused by increased production costs, etc.
13.5 The customer's claim for damages shall in any event not exceed an amount equal to the agreed price of STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB’s services.

14.1 Unless otherwise agreed, STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB will provide and charge the customer for standard insurance covering damage to the equipment and theft of the equipment. The insurance terms will be provided to the customer upon request. It is the customer’s responsibility to inform himself/herself of the insurance conditions of STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB.
14.2 Any insurance excess shall be paid by the customer. The insurance excess is equal to 1 x Price Base Amount (Prisbasbelopp), as defined and updated annually by Swedish authorities, per occasion of injury.
14.3 In addition to the rental price and the insurance price, when customer is renting equipment for SEK 10 000 or more, STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB and the customer can agree to add a Deductible Reduction limiting the deductible to SEK 10 000 per occasion of injury, priced as following:
a) Deductible Reduction price, when renting for use within Sweden: 5% of the total rental cost.
b) When renting for use within Europe (outside Sweden): 8% of the rental price.
c) When renting for use of the equipment outside Europe, the price of the Deductible Reduction coverage is specifically agreed in each case.
14.4 Notwithstanding the fact that the customer has paid for the insurance of the equipment, the customer must pay compensation to STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB to the extent that the insurance company refuses to compensate for any damage incurred.

15.1 The following circumstances shall result in exemption from liability if they prevent the fulfillment of the agreement or makes the fulfillment unreasonably burdensome: Any circumstance of which STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB has no control, such as fire, war, failure to supply raw materials, governmental provisions, and lack of means of transport. If STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB wishes to invoke this provision, STORYLINE STUDIOS GOT AB shall without undue delay inform the customer hereof.
